Love is in the air...

Ok this is going to be a long story...but it's totally worth it.

So Saturday my roommates and I did this thing called Santa Monica Challenge, kind of Amazing Race-esque. Afterwards we were at a bar having some beers celebrating our victory and this cute guy comes up with a backpack and is telling our neighboring table his story. I overhear he's hitchhiking down the coast and I'm intrigued. So I motion for him to come over because I'm just drunk enough to have some balls. Liquid Courage. So he fills us in that he's backpacked a lot and he's from CO. We talk quite a bit. And I am sold! So we had to go in for our costume challenge and I see he's thinking about leaving so I run out and he's already writing down his information so I say "Oh good. I was going to tell you I wanted your information....because...I need a partner for Amazing Race and you'd be perfect!" (I'm sorry Eric...you're still my number one pick...I was just under pressure and needed an excuse)

CUT TO: We start texting just back and forth getting to know each other stuff. So here's some of the conversations.

him: I wish we got to spend some time other on this trip, u seem like a really fun girl
me: Yeah I was really surprised how much we have in common! You seem like a lot of fun too. But  between both our travels I have a feeling it'll happen.
him: very true! This was my first trip to Cali and as far as I can tell it won't be my last.
me: Good! I wouldn't mind seeing Colorado either. I was supposed to go to Denver on my way out but plans changed so I still really want to go.
him: Anytime!

So...naturally I sent that to my roommates so they can enjoy with me.

Then later this conversation happens:

him:Otherwise I would have certainly made my way back to hollywood and tried to get a date with a movie star;)
me: Haha I haven't met any movie stars yet but I'll keep my eye out for on good for you ;)

So...naturally I sent that to my roommate.

Apple Nerd moment: pre-iOs5 when you forwarded text messages it would switch to the person you were forwarding the conversation to and start a different conversation. Now, when you forward something from one conversation it stays in that conversation.

So I forward this last text conversation to my roommates then said "love is in the air..."...to the hitchhiker.

INSTANTLY I'M LIKE ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!!

so I think quick on my feet and this is how the conversation ended:

me: haha omg that was not meant for you.
me: lol my roommate is on a first date.
him: (TOTALLY CALLING MY BLUFF) haha sure sure lea.
him: I'm flattered though;)
him: that was actually really funny. I'm on a greyhound bus, i needed that!!
me: haha I am absolutely dying laughing. Lol glad you enjoyed that.
him: glad your enjoying it too. This is great I'm already laughing out loud to myself and like 15 hrs left. These people think I'm nuts.
him: Phones gonna die now though. Glad you got that off your chest. must have been a burden. lol
me: haha you suck. ok have a good trip. text me when you're charged. or not. since we're not in love. lol
him: Thanks babe, love you! ;)
me: :)

GAY-borhood

Ok, so I live in WeHo which we like to refer to as the Gayborhood. Let me just say, there is no point in getting ready for the day here if I intend on not leaving WeHo. I have never gotten less male attention at bars. If I don't go to a straight bar soon, I'm going to be begging for a closeted boy to find out he's gay with me. Dear Chastity.

Love from the Pacific time zone...

So I had a Dear Chasity moment today when I got on the elevator to go up to our room and it was just me and a decently cute pizza guy riding together. He said "I'm on 2." I said "I'm on 2 too! Mmm pizza" he said "you can have it" I explained that we had just had dinner in town on a recommendation from a friend and we're here for the night because I'm moving to Cali. He said "well I'll give you my number and you can have free pizza tomorrow before you leave". I was totally just picked up by a pizza delivery man! Lol BUT, like the lady (idiot) I am I said "oh no we're leaving at 8 am thanks anyway though! Goodnight!".... Dear Chasity. I love this place.

News!

Well people... whoever checks this blog most frequently will get to hear it first.

We're having a baby!

I had a feeling before the Indy weekend that maybe I was el prego, but didn't know for sure. However, I found out that Tuesday... good thing I didn't join you all because this little peanut does not need any liquor. It will have enough going on from its parents genes.

SO- Baby Prueter is due May 6th- mark your calendar as you all must visit. Not sure how this will affect HOBY just yet, but I doubt I'll have bounced back enough to attend on staff this coming year. But I will definitely be visiting with this infant baby. We went for our first ultrasound last week and heard the little heartbeat and saw it's little kidney bean on the monitor- this week it's the size of a large grape, about 1". I've had some pretty rough morning sickness but have been put on meds to ease it, it's definitely helping.

Anyways, there is my news! Miss you all :) :)

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST ON THIS BIOTCH. TAKES ME A LITTLE WHILE...WHEW.

ON THE RADIO THIS MORNING THEY HAD A TOPIC OF "SEXY FOODS" SO THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT FOODS THAT ARE SEXY LOOKING OR TURN YOU ON WHEN YOU EAT THEM OR SEE SOMEONE EATING THEM.

THERE WERE 'DEAR CHASTITY" MOMENTS BLOWING UP ALL OVER THE PLACE!

"Whoa Mama"

So I took my nephew, Ely (6 yrs old), to get ice cream last night and when we arrived he decided to get the biggest banana split on the menu. He doesn't like banana splits. I've already learned that lesson. So, I was trying to talk him into a dipped cone, one of my childhood favorites, and he wasn't having it. So he says to me "Woman! Let it go! I'll get a dipped cone the next time you bring me! Geesh!" Then he flashed me the biggest shit-eating grin I've ever seen, because he knew I was going to laugh. But then I realized...shit...this is how most guys ask me on a second date. Then I said...Dear Chasity...

Let's do this....dear chasity.

So on the way home Rebecca (i.e. Becky) mentioned us all starting a blog so we can keep in touch since we're all moving on and moving up in the world. We were saying that you could post your dear chasity stories like we mentioned at HOBY, but we could also just share cool life things (new songs, movies, funny stories, great pictures, youtube videos...literally anything!) So...let's see how this goes!!!
